Richard Daskas

Richard is a 1990 graduate of Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design with a B.F.A. in Illustration. He began working in animation in 1991 at Warner Bros Television. He has been at Dreamworks Feature Animation since 1997 working as a Background Painter, Visual Development Artist, and as an Art Director. He has also worked for several television productions both in-house and as a freelance artist, including Hanna-Barbera, Cartoon Network, Orphanage, Spumco, Sony, and Nickelodeon. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, and in 2004 won an Annie Award for his work on Samurai Jack “Seasons of Death”. The animated short film “Bilby” is his most recent release as Art Director at Dreamworks Feature Animation. He also served as an Art Director on Croods 2, Larrikins, Zodiac, and Turbo.
