Week 2 | Research and Reference | Thumbnail Refinement and Colors

Thumbnailing and Idea Exploration | Thinking about the purpose and narrative | Process for faster thumbnailing

Week 3 | Color and Light Block-in | Color Fundamentals | Studying Lighting and Form

How setting yourself up with accurate color and light can quicken rendering time | Form Principle | Studying Value and Lighting

Week 4 | Rendering | Polish and Finish Illustration

Rendering Demonstration | Demonstrate how to add final polish to illustrations

Week 5 | Critique Week | New Brief | Reference Gathering

Go over students work and discuss pros and cons in the work as well as personal growth | Present the new brief assignment and gather reference

Week 6 | Sketch Stage (Thumbnailing, Studies, Drawing)

Demonstration of proper planning of composition while considering perspective and form

Week 7 | Painting Stage (Color, Light, Render, Polish)

Demonstration of developing and building upon painting

Week 8 | Painting Stage (Color, Light, Render, Polish)

Demonstration of developing and building upon painting

Week 9 | Final Presentation and Critique

Critiquing students final works and discussing the developments over the mentorship and where to move forward from there
