CGMA recently identified a Certificate of Dissolution filed on November 14, 2024 with the California Secretary of State. The filing’s validity and consequences are now before the court (sub judice). To protect students, instructors, and other stakeholders, a legal hold and preservation protocol are in place.
What this means now
- Under California law, a dissolved corporation may act only to wind up its affairs. Accordingly, CGMA cannot conduct ordinary course operations at this time.
- New enrollments and public checkout are paused. If you see purchase flows displayed in error, please do not complete a transaction and notify us at the contact above.
- Payment processors are on deposit‑only posture to safeguard funds and evidence pending court direction.
- We expect the court to address preservation, access and any potential court supervision (e.g., a receiver). We will publish updates as soon as legally permitted.
For students
If you had an upcoming start date or are awaiting access/services, please note that no classes will commence until the court provides guidance. Keep copies of all receipts, emails, and course confirmations. We will share next steps once the court processes are in place.
For instructors and vendors
Please preserve all records (agreements, invoices already issued, deliverables, messages, and payment details). Do not issue new invoices or take operational instructions outside official notices. We will contact you if the court requests information.
